By employing innovative liquefaction technology and delivery strategies, Western and our development partners, the Nisga’a Nation and Rockies LNG, will provide a long-term source of demand for Canadian gas. Additionally, delivering affordable natural gas to overseas markets dependent on imports may help reduce CO2 emissions around the globe.
A proposed 12-million-tonne-per-year LNG project at Wil Milit, north of Prince Rupert, B.C. near the Nisga’a village of Gingolx, Ksi Lisims LNG will bring abundant, lower-carbon Canadian natural gas from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin to rapidly growing markets in Asia.
Learn About the Project"Deploying innovative, lower-carbon liquefaction technology in western Canada, with its abundant gas and geographic proximity to the largest LNG market in the world, will allow Ksi Lisims LNG to become one of the world's lowest carbon emitting suppliers of LNG, while providing a long-term source of demand for Canadian gas and adding jobs to the local community."
